    Spitter valves for air tanks

Just in case, I will be saving the old drain valves and carrying them with me in case something happens to the new pull ones. They are small and will fit in my tool box that I carry around in the tool compartment. The kit that I got was pretty complete and looks like it's well made, so I'm not...

    Spitter valves for air tanks

I have the kit for this (ebay) but have not put them on yet. Looks pretty complete with no drilling or anything needed. I think my only concern is the use of 90 degree elbow fittings for the valves. Pulling on the cable might over time loosen the fittings (pull them to one side). I haven't...

What is the best year of Deuce to buy?

I'm going to have to agree with Emmado22. The later USAF deuces have all of the latest upgrades (including the dual braking system), and typically have less wear-and-tear on them. Of course, many of the older trucks that were still in service were rebuilt in the mid 80's to like-new condition...

Good News/Bad News from the radiator shop

You might consider getting a custom radiator made. Something with newer materials and not some 30+ year old pull. Tons of places on the net that will build you one...especially if you can send them the old rotten one as a template. I'll bet it would cost you *less* to build a new one than to...

    WA State Emissions Standards

From: http://www.emissiontestwa.com/faq.aspx # 1982 and newer diesel vehicles under 8501 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) with two-wheel or part-time four wheel drive. These vehicles will receive an opacity test that measures the density (opacity) of exhaust as it exits the vehicle's tailpipe...

Re: RE: I can smell it already Yep...I was just there this weekend! Also cool to see the cheese being made... Not much else there but the cheese factory and the air museum (unless you like to ride ATVs on the sand dunes just south of there). I'll start up a thread early in the summer to...

    '08 MVPA convention

RE: I can smell it already Oh...BTW: If anyone wants to set up some "after-convention" activities, I'm happy to try to set something up. I know that a few of us were thinking of taking a day and hitting the McMinville and Tillamook air museums. For those not from around the area, we could put...

cold weather and the m35a2 what do i need?

I would also add a battery heater to your list. Also anti-gel additives for the fuel and maybe an ether-start kit. Most of this is included in the artic kits you will see around from time-to-time. These also come with a hood blanket and radiator cover to keep the engine up to temp when out in...

    4th hole?

When welding at odd angles, I've found that TIG works better than MIG (should not be any splatter if you're doing it right). Another option is brazing with a gas torch. One trick that I've done is to drill out the ends of cracks before you weld it up. That will make double-sure that the...

    M813 vs Armor, M813 wins!

Woah..that's really cool. Look at the size of that tree! How long was that hull sitting there? It would be great to follow up on this in a few years when that beast is restored...some great "before" pictures here. Hang on to them...
