I would spend some of the money you saved on the deal and get it hauled home for some engine work (if it were me I would see if I could get a whole fresh engine and drop it in and not bother with twiddling with the dodgy one that's in there). You'll spend a little money, but your...
Ugh...sorry to hear it was a sour diff. :( Oh well...I guess that's the chance you take with pulled parts.
I probably won't be down there until May at the earliest...then through September for a few weeks at a time. I'll probably be staying at horsfall at least once, so it's a quick trip...
Great to see you got it running Joey!
This summer I'll be down there at the dunes for sure...we'll need to get together for a beer or three.
Did you use that third member to repair the axle? Did that work out OK?
I would check that the in-tank fuel pump is indeed working correctly, that the fuel filters are not clogged in any way, and that all air has been bled from the fuel system.
Maybe those are not the problem, but those are the first things I would look for, and then debug further from there.
I have this one:

$39.99 from Sears. I think a box of like 4 filters is another $10 or so (don't remember).
Amazon has I think the same one for $29.99

Well, I don't have the specifics on mine (I'm at work right now), but I use a "good" one with dual removable multi-stage filter cartridges. Basically this is an area you want to spend a little money. Cheapo paper masks are useless IMO.
It's sort of like buying a motorcycle helmet. Buy a $50...
I have that harbor freight cabinet...great, but had to get a better gun (Craftsman one is nicer). Be sure to grab some extra plastic films for the viewing window as they go cloudy pretty quickly. Also make sure you have an air dryer mounted on the cabinet so you don't get moisture on your...
Here's a few books that helped me greatly:

If you need one fast (sounds like you do) I would call either Idaho Motor Pool or Boyce Equipment. Either of them may have a new (or pull) radiator and fan you could drop in.
I wish I could do more to help you out. Good luck.
If you can get a hydraulic pump on the deuce (either a stock-type pump from a 5 ton or a belt-driven custom job) here is a great alternative:

100% duty cycle, small, effective.
Idaho Motor Pool (http://www.idahomotorpool.com) has a real M1026 for sale. They want $36,000 for it, but it looks totally restored to me. IMP is a great place and I'm sure this thing is tip-top.
M1026 HMMWV Real Military Hummer. Not that silly plastic imitation the Govenator All-nold...
Gulfway also for me...very easy and great to deal with. Not the best price, but they did it all for me in like 24 hours, and I had the insurance binder in my pocket when I picked up the truck (via fax).
They will need copies of your current insurance so they can prove that this is not your...
Emmado22,
Also notice that the air intake for the crew heater appears to be in a slightly different location on the newer trucks like ours...not on the driver's side swing-down engine-access panel, but just below it next to the marker light. Not sure if this is year-specific or if this is just...

We all remember the "Malibu Deuce" thread, right?
