thank god for drop sides bad part is i paid for two loads but didnt get back in time to get the second so i lost out on that too.i've been wanting to cut the center out of the bumper and put rollers so i dont mess my cable up when i.m winching cars up on my trailer now i just get to do it sooner...
i was hualing some gravel last weekend went to turn around when the ground gave way under the left side left rears were almost all the way under .tried to winch out backwards crunched the bumper . then i went to winch out over the fence to a tree broke the cable .could even dump the load...
actually i believe you need a cdl to haul combo no matter the distance .its scary an not very safe why not put one in the back of the truck and tow the other .the time and money you spent puttting the pintle on the trailer you could of had a tow truck put the one in the bed
best to charge them with a bat charger first cuz it puts alot of load on the gen. and good batteries dont charge themselves no matter how long you leave em sit they need to have something with more volts then they have to make the charge .but generally if they will start the truck with a jump...
looks like they painted the places where they changed filters like a simple little dot wouldnt have done the job.either that or they messed up and ordered to much yellow paint and didnt want to pay to have it disposed of properly:roll:
yes they are to big they will hit in the middle the biggest you can run with stock susention is 15.5s or 395s they are 46.5 inches tall 14.00s are 48 inches tall which is to much
the reason for slipping after sitting for months is the converter drians back and it will only fill in neutral or rev with a stock valve body the are ways to fix this .you can install a check valve in the return line which will prevent drain back also you have to remember to check the fluid...
that could be a 100 amp gen it uses a separate voltage reg too. chech your connections there are no fuses or breakers between the batteries and the ignition switch or gauages test voltage across the batteries then check for voltage at the starter relay
ya no good way of patching it just cut it out and run new lines slide em in from the bottom then start to bend em up to the top.push a little bit more then bend more .ocne you have enough to reach the rad you can start bending the bottom part where it goes to the trans just make sure not to kink...
i agree its a wrecker it was built to two these truck everyway possible you have a 5ton towing a 2.5 ton they were made to do it tie the steering wheel securely .use your tow bar going to the shackles on the towed truck and to the pintle on the towing truck flip the pintle on the truck being...
i'd check the transfer case linkage first make sure you're getting full movement but it a very good chance the range fork in the transfer case is worn through and letting the engaging hub slide back it will try to go towards low cuz how the cut of the planet moves it when load it applied tthat...
how much weight you planning on putting back there? do you have a winch or not?if you make the front and rear have the same angle you should be fine but how much weight you put in it and where it is as far as how far back and how far up will really change how much traction you have to climb the...
does anyone have pics of the wiring diagrams for the dual voltage genarator used on fmtv i think im have voltage reg problems and i need the diagrams to properly test to see if its the gen or reg
i didnt want to run two separate things to give me 24 and 12 volt since it sucks so much power from the motor as it is .my friend is gonna lend me a gen till i can get mine fixed i want to try a regulator before i send it in to get rewound and new brushes put in it since it was brand new when i...
you dont need to pick the trans up just set it on the ground and drag it out the side .oh dont put your 4x4 on the doors youll break the glass i dont see any problem with opening the front window and going that wayi would use a chain to the top cover bolts so you dont have to worry about...
better check the truck out really good before you hit the road cuz a tow bill is way more than having it transported or even worse having an accident with no insurance
i flipped my hubs but dont think it will matter as long as bearings are good but flipping the hubs is the right way to do it it makes the rear track the same as the front and puts the load where it should be plus you can chech your bearings when you are flipping the hubs killing two birds with...
