actually the 12 volt pump works better on 24 volts they run better on 24 just have to put 24 volt relays on there cuz 12 volt ones cant take the extra juice i have a 12volt pump on mine ive been running it for 5 years on problems the guys at the lowrider shop by my job run 12 volt pumps on 48...

:-Di think the way you index the pipe changes the highway levels alot if you point it back you hear it more inside if you point it to the outside it lessens how loud it is inside with my dynomax i hear the motor not the exhaust at idle .its a big difference hard to compare levels without a meter...

i just use my chain from my winch i pull it down to where every i need it then set the winch lock i have a non foldable step but can reach it with the bigger tires .i wouldnt think youd want to give more than 40bucks for one since they would be so easy to make

hy not make a tensioner like the use on civy tow trucks its a piece of plate steel thats hinged and then has springs to keep tension on the cable which forces the cable to wind tight on the winch drum without crossing over itself.its not a perfect setup but its alot better than nothing good luck...
