My recollections of the time (early 80's), I really didn't pay much attention to the trucks back then. I only recall my unit, 4/10 having dueces & M151's along with the self propelled artillery. (there could have been others, I just don't recall.) My time was in battalion HQ & base offices...

I was in 79 thru 83 mostly at Camp LeJuenne Almost all M880's I ever seen were gloss forest green w /yellow ID #'s I think I remember a few luterless ones I do not recall ever seeing a camo job on a Marine pickup. Frank??????????????

Saturn Surplus has (at least they used to) NOS mufflers and two of the pipes @ about $20.00 per item they do not have tailpipies, but I do 8)

I have a set of mirrors/ not new though. Will know if the dash will be availible by next weekend.

95% of the time it is the grounding of the ICM 4.9% of the time it's another ground issue 0.1% of the time it's other than ground.

Ok, times up didn't sell it. Time to part it & scrap whats left. Gunnershusband has 1st dibs on the dash Soylentgreen has next selection Those are the only 2 people who have asked for parts off it.( that I remember anyway :oops: )...

RE: fuel sending unit I spent the $100 Plus and got the factory one, Yea it's pricey but it works fine & problem solved.

I hear there's a show in Findlay, Ohio. on May 16-18 Any Northern Michiganders heading down? Never been there, is it usually a good one?

Be advised: This course of action will cost several thousand dollars, as black shows everything. Spray can touch up paint can be purchased to closely match the camo colors currently on that truck.

Soylent, This rim info is fantastic! Accuride 31972 16x7K. So far I have only found 16x6 rims from a Dodge van other than aftermarket spoked / slotted / whatever rims. The original 16.5's were 6 7/8 wide and the 6in ones are just too narrow for a decent tire. 265/75R16's fit nicely on a 7 inch...

Just put a note on the window.............. almost out of diesel fuel, gets 8mpg, top speed of 50mph..............

Yes sir open diffs Dana44 front & dana 60 rear with 4.10 gearing Posi units (Trak-Loc) are availible for those axles. .........tough on gas??????????? My M880 gets nearly 48mp4g ! The M886 gets 36 to 40 mp4g! (mp4g=miles per four gallons)
