Hillman Michigan VJ Day 8-8 thru 8-10

The city of Hillman Michigan puts on a big celebration the weekend of August 8th thru the 10th. They have invited the MMMT to bring MV's again this year. It is my understanding that the Great Lakes MVPA will be participating this year also. Note: Rob Lorenzi is coordinating this event for the...

    wiring reverse engineering

Horn ground - ground strap accross the joint at the steering box also 95% of M880 wiring issues aredue to factory grounds. The blackout wiring is an add on and other than the blackout switch killing power to factory lights, should cause too many issues.

Ending prices not shown on GL

RE: $60 fee I know Robyn doesn't make the rules and is just a messenger. but BS is BS plain and simple! the 10% buyers premium should cover all aspects of the sale like all other auction houses. No matter how you color it it is just a money grab fo $60

Luggage cart noo, but Cherry Point is an MCAS, so I would assume airfield cargo duty. and since the Marines can set up an airfield anywhere / anytime, the off road part could come in handy. You go Lane! keep the transport guy happy so if I ever get the elusive M36.......................

Site Timed out after trying to post pictures

It would seem the server is way way overloaded or on dial-up . Slowest site I visit. Always seem to be waiting on google ads to load. Frustrating at times, yes!. but do not consider this a complaint from this freeloader, just an observation.

    M886 Radio???

RE: M886 Interesting, that table shows personnel heater 24v. For the winterization of the M886 they remove the existing gasoline heater with 12 volt ignition and replace it with a 24v personel heater. I have never seen any M880 series truck set up like this. (yet) So with this conversion, the...

interest in 2 M880's in NC??

RE: 1 down Welcome to the world of M880's! 1st get the other truck, sure recovery could get pricey, look for other SS members in the area for assistance, you may need the parts. 2nd the carb will need a thourough cleaning / rebuild. The idle circuit in those carbs are finickey and don't like...

    M886 Radio???

From TM9-2320-266-10 The above would indicate that radios were not used in M886's. The TM lists only the M881, M882, M883, M884, M891 and M892 as having the 24v system . Further the TM lists only the M882, M892 as having a communications kit. Other than that , I know NOTHING about military...

Midland, MI. & Petoskey, MI. 5/31

    M880 in mud

Re: RE: M880 in mud These are Wrangler RT II Military OZ. An add a leaf in the front, and these tires are worn down to 35" on the stock M880 wheels, only rub if you turn the wheel. Well I don't normally do this, but this truck was due for a complete fluid change anyway. Axles, trans &...

Went to the local annual mud bog yesterday. We put the half worn out 36" humvee tires on the M880 WOW! low power, open differentials. Out lasted & out did many other trucks with more power, locked axles and no concern for having to drive it home. Heck my boy Rob, even stopped next to stuck...
