I learned early on to try not to get lost. Had a lt get us lost in the middle of Baghdad while using mts, fbcb2, and us in the gun trucks telling her she is going the wrong direction.
After that incident we did a compass and plgr refresh course.
That's were the part of my signature stems from.
I'm going to go to a couple semi shops and see if I can get a stud that meets the requirement and get part numbers to post.
With these early fmtv mraps going to scrap and the aluminum wheels coming on the market I know I'm not the only one looking at the best solution.
I am actually doing this exact thing in my 818. While not a deuce it is the same concept.
I found a switch panel on eBay that had some switched in it already. Those will be put right back on eBay as they are not what I need. I just needed the housing.
I ordered 9 led switched to go in with...
Steak and eggs are always a good meal no matter where you are.
You made great time, I would have had to stop by midnight. I'm limited by medications now, not the will to drive anymore.
Here in the us military they replace the spedo if the bulbs burn out, lol
No seriously, the spedo will get changed with the slightest reason and miles not marked.
I thought about that but I would need to get the buds turned down so the rim would sit flush with the hub. I've read about studs cracking because of the space.
These are the camian wheels from Texas. They are fmtv wheels and they had steel and aluminum. I got there and decided to go with the aluminum mainly because I didn't want to did for the steel ones.
They are stud centered, have the bevels in the stud holes.
Yeah there a little over an inch thick. This will be figured out this week, has to, everyday I wait is more flash rust I have to soda blast off the spindle and other little items. The bearings got flash rust from sitting out today, thank god for soda blasting is all I can say.
From what I can tell the 54 and 809 use the same hub and studs, it's the 939 series that use a different hub all together. That looks to be the thick rim, aluminum by the looks of it.
I do have the aluminum rims but the studs are what is killing me. I'm looking at another option though, but there are two factors involved. One being the 24 dollar price per stud, and two, are 939 studs compatible with the 809 hubs. I know the lug nuts are the same, I'm just concerned about the...
If you would have gone right on 61 it would have taken you north to Natchez, MS. I never go through New Orleans if I don't have to, take 12 through Hammond instead. I'm guessing you needed to go through as no sane person would take a deuce through that, lol
What I got is what was referenced in this thread.
Stock stud the knurl will end right at the end of the hub face on the fronts because of the drum assembly. I haven't looked at a rear yet as the front is jacked up right now. Although looking at the parts tm it looks to be about the same if not...
