Ok so my sockets came in yesterday and decided I would try and tackle the drivers front today.
Socket is a little loose but I guess that is ok, it is an OTC socket and I ordered the ones referenced here in the threads.
Put my 450 ft lb impact on it and no joy. Broke a ratchet with a 5 ft...
My second deployment the truck I signed for had a bolt instead of the shear pin on the winch. I didn't know it and when we used the winch to pull something the pin should have snapped, instead it cost us a winch and an investigation as to why we were having to replace a winch.
Especially them swift trucks. They like to cut back over a little to soon causing you to check the quality of your brakes.
If you do brake down, watch out for swift drivers again, they like to hit non moving targets.
I need murphy to get wore out so he will leave me alone for my trip to Drews...
Pfft, every good little private knows you use grade 8 bolts instead, lol
No seriously, use the correct shear pins or you will end up in a world of hurt, ask me how I know.
Thank you great sir

My apologizes. I had to go back and make sure but yep, not ip, air compressor.
:lost:
Got the info. The flare fitting coming off the elbow on the filter to the ip is 5/8 flare.
Ended up going 5/8 flare to 1/4 mip for my project. Just have to get 4 more 1/2" couplers and as soon as the other pump gets in and I get another hose I'll be all set. I'm also going to add two more 1/2"...
Well today I got a little accomplished. Gathered parts for the fuel pumps. Since the fuel line is 1/2 and I'm stepping down to 1/4 fitting size on the pump I decided to add another pump.
All the parts from Home Depot.
I have to get double 1/2 mip female adapters, I ended up getting male...
First time I did a torsion bar replacement on a m1 I asked about the torque specs. Team chief told me that they used the eek method. Two eeks and it's good. I just walked away.
