    Polyolester oil (POE) in CUCV?

I would say not a good idea. A solvent will do wonders to the injection pump. The DB2 pump is kinda a pile of **** as is and will degrade all on its own. Most CUCV's owners will be replacing pumps in the first 20K miles as is. I would stick with diesel and WMO and that is about all.

slight knock on sub zero cold starts

A good cleaning or heck for 65 bucks you can replace all 8 injectors. Ask Kipp... he and I talked about replacing his injectors and what a difference he said. 6.2 glow plugs really dont last very long. like I said I replaced mine every fall. I know its a couple bucks but its worth it. As far as...

slight knock on sub zero cold starts

The M1009 with the loud knock must have a weak vacuum pump as it is also slow shifting cold and the brakes are slow to fully recover after a pump down. It sounds like it is going to fly apart at about 15 mph in low gear, so generally, I take the slower side streets in below 20 degree weather...

    problems with hot starts

When the engine is cold enough to cause the glow plugs to come on it starts right up in a second or less. the only times I have problems are when it sits for a while after it has been hot. You answered your own Question there slick. The glow plugs need to come on in a 6.2 even when warm...

not true there wood.... If you have had yours apart you would know how it works. If you don't have any Air pressure the...
