M135 project truck needs lotsa stuff...

I love the mudflaps on the front bumper. It must've been backing up a lot really fast! Or maybe it served in the French Army. :p

    Questions... M275 or...?

For $800, time to part out the military parts to someone completing their own M35-based truck! That winch setup has to run $500 or more by itself in value. That is, unless you want to work it as it is....:D

    Questions... M275 or...?

I'm not sure it's a M275 - the frame is M35 length, and it has the M35 tool box under the cab where the long tractor-specific fuel tank should be. Are you sure that the cab and data plates didn't come off a M275 tractor, and they just dropped it onto a M35 frame?

    rebuilding inner windshields?

The passenger side windshield on my deuce is starting to delaminate, getting that cloudy white look on the bottom of the glass, on the inside. No way to fix it, but man, the rest of the inner windshield is primo. No rust, works great, etc. Is there any company out there that can rebuild the...

    Questions... M275 or...?

Memphis Equipment prided itself in selling fiberglass tops, windshield frames and front ends for many years. Perhaps it was from them? I'd buy it and go back to the standard front end, piece by piece. The look this thing has now is kinda silly....

Bumper corner markers for w/w Deuce

Good solution. I used 3-foot metal rods that were off-the-shelf at ACE Hardware, and simply dropped into place. Course, they could still poke an eye out, but it was the simplest solution since the truck came with holes drilled in the bumpers for them to begin with.

    power cable for VIC-3

Need the power cable to go from the battery or transient suppressor MX-7777 to the power connector on the VIC-3 main box, the CD-82/VRC. I have what is referred to in the manual as the power cable, the CX-13468, but the -20&P manual says that this is to be routed into the power connection on...

    M7 Priest- Worth while?

Just to counter the "don't do it, it will cost a fortune" folks, if you have the $$$ to spend to restore it right, by all means do it. It's a great investment - all WWII tanks and heavy tracked vehicles, except for the common high speed tractors and half tracks, bring $100K or more. There are...

    $10 seat recover project

Did mine with old shelter halves and 4" memory foam. Have to change the driver's seat though - with 4" foam in the seat back, I'm too close to the steering wheel and my legs are cramped.

    MTA Show and Swap Meet

Found this in the New Jersey Herald online. Typical Herald - they got the details wrong on so many counts. They misspelled my name, said I was a Vietnam veteran (I was born in 1974), and quoted me as saying something that SrJeeper said. They said that the M813-series trucks served in Vietnam...
