:) :driver: 700 miles in a duece in one day?! That is truly insane! :cookoo: Jeepguy, drive it back if you can take a bunch of tools and fluids with you. Have it looked at by someone knowledgable ahead of time. Is it coming from a private sale or GL? Take your time and stretch it out...

I degreased, sanded the loose paint and rust off, etched with phosphoric acid (product called Rust-Mort by SEM), primed with zinc oxide primer, and topped with a semi-flat paint from Krylon called Rust Tough Enamel. I finished the whole undercarriage this way. I was lucky as there was no rust...

I put a gage in mine too, but I have not run it yet. It should run at +/- what the thermostat is rated.
