    Engine ground

I thought the same thing. Op, you would know if it was a positive ground or isolated ground. The fact that the - cable goes from the battery to the frame is a dead give away. 99.99% of all military and civilian vehicles are negative ground.

M1078 Fluids questions for Fire Department

I second the baffling of the tank, even a poly tank the size of the bed not baffled can slosh pretty good and I know from first hand experience how easy those trucks are to spin. Luckily it didn't roll, just did a really awesome 360 on route tampa in Iraq causing my OIC to need a change of undies.

M939 Series Winch - need to run off non pto pump 24v

Can the power steering pump provide enough psi and cfm to run the winch? That is how the hmmvw rear winch is ran, through the power steering pump.

Trying to figure out the general layout of the m1070s electrical system.

Inverter and equalizer are two completely different things. An equalizer is used to balance the battery system when the 12v side is being discharged at a greater rate than the 24v side and it charges the 12v side to keep them balanced. An inverter takes a voltage, increases it or decreases...

Hawkers AGMs back from the dead?

Yeah that's way to low. Even if you got it up to 12v it won't hold it for long. Plate are discharged to much. I've heard about using epson salt and distilled water to bring them back to life but 1.8 is a really big AA.

Hawkers AGMs back from the dead?

Is that 1.8 in each cell or total battery? If total battery I'm afraid not, under 9v is the danger zone.

    Speedometer wedge for 1400x20 tires

Got it, thank you Jaun. I totally looked over that page in the TM, I was thinking it would be part of the transfer not the cable assembly. Thanks Jeep, I ended up ordering one off flea bay. Part number for those who are doing the same is 649-CL.

Trying to figure out the general layout of the m1070s electrical system.

The battery disconnect is on the 12v side. Most of the electronics in the truck are 12v, and yes the 12v alternator just charges the 2 batteries while the 24v one charges the 24v side. When you have a lot of stuff that pulls on the 12v side the batteries become unbalanced. You can solve this...

    Speedometer wedge for 1400x20 tires

I am looking for the 90 degree wedge that is set for the 1400x20 tires. I am going to be putting 395's on my 818 and want to get the spedo as close as I can and I read in an old thread, which I asked in it to, that you can use the one for the 1400x20 tires. Now, I know the 939 series came with...
