i would go with a glass media filter for a bypass, you get much finer filtration. some amsoil filters are good to 1micron (3 micron absolute) you can get a whole amsoil kit for ~$150. then you just have to figure out where to mount it and where you will be drawing pressure from and returning...

just tell them its a D30 (government K30) and that you have a camper in the bed. They have to call in to figure out the VIN, but it will be validated. I currently have AIG, call 1-888-267-4244 and tell them what you have. They covered mine no questions asked.

nope, the engine wont rust away by any means the heads yes, the intake is aluminium so doesnt need to be painted and you could get away with 500F engine paint

you could use engine paint, rated to 1200F, but it would be really messy to paint the engine while its in the truck.

YOU DONT HAVE BALL JOINTS. pull the passenger side kingpin cap and look at the nylon bushing for wear. a rebuild kit comes with a new bushing and a new spring.

yes you do need to run an insert of some sort. with offroad tires you will need to trim down the runflat or it will be to wide (offroad tires have thicker beads than the tires the rims were designed for). I wouldnt bother with the run-flats. I run beadlock inserts made by Dean Reed, you can see...

you should try bead balancing them, i run 20oz. of air soft plastic BB's in each of my tires and it works great.

correct, you can ask westy what happens when you dont pull the driveshaft. and if you leave the trans in neutral it will rotate and destroy it.

i thought that the cucv's only cycle the plug once, that why you have to cycle them yourself in really cold weather

yes the civilian cluster will bolt in, but the wiring harnesses are nowhere near the same and all the sending units would have to be changed as well.

They use those rings to lift the truck in the air, they are more than strong enough to handle using them as a jack point.
