RE: Cucv Wheel Lug Nuts on Hummer Wheels
the main diff. between the 12bolt and the 8bolt is the pressure that they can handle. they 8bolt only handle up to 35psi (so bias plys only) the 12bolt can handle 50psi (so radials are ok). they have the same width and backspacing. run a 2" spacer on...
I'd be more worried about melting a piston top, before doing any damage to the turbo itself. the turbo can stand temps much higher than the rest of the engine components can.
that wasnt a bad vehicle to follow for the aberdeen convoy, its not loud at all at freeway speed, but the flashers almost put me to sleep at the wheel.

the solonoid on the gm trucks is on the starter, there is no other parts to worry about. you can check the condition of the positive cable running to the battery but its prolly in good shape.

if you want to reduce friction then the best thing to do is to dismantle the spring pack and place teflon strips inbetween each leaf. this will prevent any binding. I would reccomend to anyone working on the springs on a truck put new bushings in the spring eyes, get polyurathane bushings they...
if you want a stiff spring, then get superlifts, the rough country springs have a good ride. others do flex better, but the trade offs are more sag when towing or driving loaded. It all depends on the type of driving that is done with the vehicle.
