I would recommend the cross-bars as well, I not then I would at least use the sliders that came with the seats and make a braket to mount them to the truck.
Please remember not to mount the roll cage to the body of the truck (GO TO THE FRAME)
I am prolly going to do the spray foam, I will be drilling several relief holes and then injecting the foam. you come back in an hour or two and remove the excess. then you just get the little black plastic caps (like the factory ones) and people will never know from looking at it.
IMHO- I...
Re: RE: Re: RE: used WVO.....I think
I have my setup almost done, just need to make the time to finish wiring the pump and secure a few fittings. then it's off to get some oil and lye.
I have the front almost done, just need to put the steering block on and attach the drag link.
The rear has been more interesting.
had to cut off the u-bolts and then pound them out of the spring plates.
The u-bolts that came with the kit were 1" too short (#@$%) had to get custom ones bent...
If you can, get it inside where its warm. It will fire much easier without having to fight the cold weather. also you could remove the rubber hose from the top of the injector pump and crank a few times to get most of the air out of the lines before it has to go through the injectors. You really...
Re: RE: Put 1050 CA 875 CCA in mine but took some mods
Cold cranking amps (CCA) is a measurement of the number of amps a battery can deliver at 0 ° F for 30 seconds and not drop below 7.2 volts. So a high CCA battery rating is good especially in cold weather.
CA is cranking amps measured at...
By the way these starters don't suddenly die, they slowly start to degrade. mine got bad enough that it was having a hard time starting the truck this week, so I swapped in a rebuilt one and what a difference. its like a new truck!!!
I am also in the area and could come over to lend a hand. I have had to do the GP's, fuel lift pump and starter on my truck so far, so I have gotten good at figuring out the issue.
the slave system goes straight to the bus bar, it feeds voltage to the starter and then to the GP's through the resistor on the firewall. you shouldn't have any issues with the batt's. Although regarding your block heater, you have a 12v or 24v heater?
I am going to be buying a set of hmmvv rims and was wondering if anyone is traveling this way, would chip in some money for the fuel and your time. Let me know, thanks.
RE: Re: RE: Does anyone have a spare starter?
Builder77- I PM'd you about the starter. I would prefer the one that looks really good. If it wouldn't be too much trouble, could you have a local starter shop test it. thanks.
Mine is going bad and I seem to have lost my spare one. (FIGURES)
Shoot me a PM if you have one that you would be willing to part with.
I know that I could have mine rebuild, but I can't have the truck down for that long since its my daily driver. If you guys have one that needs to be rebuilt I...
