I just removed the rear exhuast a few hours ago, I will take pics of the hangers for you. BTW The truck sounds that same at idle and while at cruise speed. BUT, MAN IS SHE LOUD WHEN YOU HIT THE PEDAL!!!!! Finally sounds like it has a big motor in it. [thumbzup]
I found the post over in the restoration section, rizzo posted it. I need to get the voltmeter myself and the cheapest I've found it anywhere else is around $40.
I had to remove a lilac bush that was about that size, take about hell.
it took us four hours of digging to get down to the main roots, hacked them out with an axe and pulled it out with the garden tractor, then just fill in the hole.
on a somewhat unrelated point, the fusion test reactor in japan has successfully produced a sable plasma field for 28 seconds, in theory once 300 seconds is acheived that reaction should be self sustaining. the new article can be found at slashdot.org
I might have one on the back of mine, are they the same as the hangers on the m1008's. If so you can have it for cheap. I am shortening the exhaust to dump in front of the rear axle.
Mainly because they are not street legal as equipped. you would have to do some mods to ensure DOT compliance. It would be a hassle for them to deal with. Although this might change once the Humvee's start being replaced and then liquidated. That, and I dont think that they like selling current...
Nifty idea, although I love the bench seat in mine, I will prolly eventually put a set of bucket suspension seats. They also have suspension seats in the size of the small middle seat to take up the space where a console would go.
