Has it been showing low oil pressure ever since you've had it? It could be a wrong gauge/sender combo. Check to see if you've got a 120 or 60psi gauge and then make sure your sender matches. You may have to scrape some paint but all the senders I've seen had the psi stamped on it.
Are you sure about that? While I have no first hand experience with 15.5s, that's a whole lot of weight per tire. If you're figures are right I could use a bunch of them in a civilain application (heavy haul trucks).
Some of them aren't too bad if you take them for what they are worth. I'll try and catch the Motor City show just because it's going to have a deuce in it.
It's too cold to wash my truck anyway .
I'll be honest with you, if you're planning on making long trips in the deuce it may not be the truck for you. Some poeple love the long trips but it can wear on you. They are loud, cold in the winter, hot in the summer, not a whole lot of leg room if you are tall, and you get wet when it rains...
I agree. Reality shows are a big money maker for the networks. There seems to be a long line of idiots waiting in line to be on the shows also (remember balloon boy and the people that crashed the White House party?).
They have to add in the drama for ratings. I know people like us watch them...
The deuce accually does better around 45mph. You can run 55 with a stock truck but they seem to come apart sometimes at that speed.
Easiest way to get more mph out of the truck is with bigger tires. You may want more power then though. That would require an engine swap. I'd go with a 6BT...
If you've got a spring seat you can replace it with a box seat. That will give you a little more room with the belly. Don't think it will help much with the leg room though.

And if you really want to learn how to do something, really screw it up the first time ;-). After you do than you'll learn how to fix it right and remember that lesson for the rest of your life.
Just about anybody can learn to work on these vehicles if they want to learn how.
I am...
Why? I have removed and installed several and I always do it with the engine and trans attached. Looks like it would be a whole lot more trouble to install them separately.
Edit: I went back and looked at the pics and see the winch is still in place. I've never installed a engine on a winch...
Here's one I built. I've used it to pull a deuce and I'm sure it would hold up to a 5-ton also. The ring is made from 3/4" plate with two 3/8" reinforcement rings added, the legs are from 2"X2"X1/4" wall square tube, and the feet are made from 1/2" plate.
I (and several others here) have been using pressure bleeders made from an old garden sprayer with good results. I'm not buying into the notion that this type bleeder injects air into the system. Air would have to go from to top of the tank, through the fluid, and into the pickup tube. Just...

These warnings are also for other people that may be reading this thread.
There are ways to safely weld and cut on used drums and tanks but I'm not going to recommend it on a public forum.
We are talking about the complete windshield frame (the part that holds both windshields and can be folded down against the hood). The seal is all in one piece.
I've got this same problem. My old seal looked to be just a flat piece of rubber but this new seal has a "lip" on one edge. I'm thinking the lip goes along the outside edge to direct the water away from the joint but I don't know for sure. I'm also thinking I'm going to need some type of...
I am familar with synthetic slings used in lifting. Some even have a kevlar cover over them but you still have to be very careful not to damage them when using them.
I feel your pain. I've been trying to get ahold of Ft. Campbell all day. Even went to the GL chat to find out if they had an extended holiday or something. They were no help. Never had a problem getting ahold of them before. I even have two of the site guys' cell numbers.
