Most wire rope has ratings that are for overhead lifting. I'm a crane operator also and I am in the rigging and machinery moving business. I've never seen a 1/2" wire rope that had a WLL of 10,000lbs. All I've seen ( and I've searched high and low for the highest strength rope I can find) has a...
I'm going to turn the fuel up on mine as soon as I get a pyro. I've driven trucks that were turned up and the difference is night and day.
In my experience there is a big difference in how high the fuel is set on trucks comming right out of GL. I've got a truck right now that has more power...
There's a guy down the road from me that has a M135 for sale. Said he's fixing to scrap it (he's a scrap dealer) if nobody wants it so I thought I'd post and let everybody know about it. He's asking $1,400 for it. Said he had it running about a year ago but it had no brakes. I saw it awhile back...
I personally wouldn't have a problem using used wire rope as long as it didn't have any noticable problems.
In the business I'm in I've broken my fair share of cable on winch trucks. While it is dangerous when a cable breaks, nobody should be in harms way anyway. When we replace the cable on...
I think he meant to say 4:1 or 5:1 which would be right . Which would mean a rope that had a 10,000lb WLL would have around a 40,000lb breaking limit. WLL for wire rope is generally figured for overhead lifting. I have yet to see 1/2" wire rope of any kind that had an overhead lifting...
If you have an air failure you'll have the same amount of brakes with either MC. It will stop you but you're going to have to press the pedal pretty hard.
I don't think this will help you any. I could be wrong but you're still only going to have one reservoir and when some thing happens it will still run it dry and you'll have no brakes. Could be worse from the fact that you'll have more places to have a problem with another airpack and the...
Don't believe I'd do that. If it's not craked it could be after heating it. Anytime you heat cast iron the whole casting needs to be heated the same and allowed to cool slowly. If not there is a chance it can crack when it cools.
I tend to think it's just paint cracking. Get you a putty knife...
If the handle is missing the drum lock is stuck in the engaged position.
If the bolt is broken (which is usually the case when the lever is missing) you can fix it by cutting the bolt off flush with the pin, drilling the pin out and tapping it 5/16", and screwing in a piece of 5/16" all-thread.
I don't snipe. Mainly because I'm on dail-up :-(. I do try and bid within the last 5 min if I can. Seems like some people will just keep bidding to just see how high your proxy is if you bid early, the "diddlers" as you say.
I still don't understand why people bump the bid one increment time...
Sniping has it's advatages but you still can't tell what the other bidders proxy is.
Lets say an item has a starting bid of $1. I bid $100 the day the auction opens by proxy. When it gets down to a few seconds left the bid is at $50. You jump in at the last second and bid $75. Even though I...
I've had very similar things accually happen. The bad part is if they had the ebay style rules in place I would still more than likely be sniped at the end and still be mad :x.
While I don't like the 15min rule I've also been mad on ebay auctions with fixed ending times when I get sniped at...
Really? What material was it? That is way more than I've ever heard of anybody putting on a deuce. That is four times what the deuce is rated for . Got any pics of a 40,000lb load?
I don't know what the difference is other than maybe some converters work different than others. I wasn't saying you were wrong. I was just commenting that it was odd compared to the way mine works .
I've got a question about "wet stacking". I know generator people like to throw that term around but I have run diesel tractors for days on end with little load without any problems. The tractors are mostly running water pumps and augers which require very little power but may have a 100hp...
You must not buy from GL. If you do would you be happy to pay more than you do for stuff?
I have alot more to comment on this but will keep my mouth shut to keep from getting political ;-).
Stumps is right about snipping. The trick to beating the snipers on ebay is to enter a proxy big quite a bit more over the current bid (if the item is worth it). That puts you and the sniper on an even playing field so if his snipe is more than you max he wins and if it's not you do.
The 15 min...
