No Longer a 1st Time Painter - Thanks for the Help!

Fantastic job, and it's much better than the paint job that the shop did. They probably mixed the paint with a hardener that gave it a "sheen" the first time.

You might have some luck PMing Blake, steelsoldiers, or Ferroequinologist. They are all down that way, perhaps they can help.

    Haspin swap meet

I have another thing I would like to get rid of, kinda unique. It's a Boy Scout type chow box, I built it a couple years ago. VERY heavily built (about 125 pounds or so), and I have a use for it, but I really don't have the room for it. The legs are not attached in the picture, pics show the...

another set of pictures of my M 1046 EX USMC TOW Humvee

I've seen plenty of mounts, and a few of the sights, but never saw a dummy "launcher" for one. I assume it can be fabbed up if someone had some time and ingenuity.

    New motorized Army

papercu, I don't think there's going to be a huge demand for a subsection on WW1 trucks, there are very few left. The ones that do exist are 90 years old, lack any reliable source of parts (you think you have problems getting parts for your 50-yr-old vehicle!), and the few that do exist are...

    parting out M109

If it was closer I might be able to find a home for the 109 body, but AL is a long way from VA.

The guy wants $800 for it everything works. Is it worth it?

For a running engine and a WINCH that works, it might be worth it, but I'd still try and talk him down to $500 or $600. It has the axles, rims, etc. on it as well, so if you have a use for it, $800 may be the high end of what I would pay for it....

    wiper motors, M38 and M715

Sure, gimpy. If you can dig them up, the jeep will be at Haspin (whether the deuce goes or not), so I can see if they fit there. If they do, maybe I'll just buy them off you... Barrman, thanks for the heads up on the 12V or 24V wiper motors, but I prefer to keep the system vacuum powered.

    wiper motors, M38 and M715

I need a set of wiper motors for the Jeep. The windshield of my jeep is a M38 type. I see standard market price of the wiper motors for the M38 range from $50 to $70 each. However, Saturn Surplus has wiper motors for the M715 series, that look very similar, for $26 or so. Can they be...
