Kennett Square Pa Memorial day Parade

Cool pics, and great vehicles there too. Except for the H3. I guess that's the official USMC Jarhead Pimpmobile. Gimme a M35A2 any day over that grocery getter.

door windows are very hard to roll up & down.. how to f

Mine rolls up but screams like a constipated banshee when you roll it up. I have to open up the door panel, but man, the last time I opened up a door panel on an MV it was my old M725, and it was a PITA to put the whole shebang back together. I am afraid that the deuce doors will be similar...

1800 miles in 47 hrs. for an M274

Wow, I need my eyes checked. For a minute I thought the thread was titled "1800 miles in 47 hours IN a M274". I said, WOW, that's a lotta seat time in a mule! And at an average speed of 38 mph, you're moving! Glad to see you're home safe, congrats on the new toy!

Out for a drive on Memorial Day

Got bored during a home painting project, so I decided to fire up the deuce and take it to town for a little cruising up and down the main drags. As usual, ran like a top, and got a lot of "thumbs-ups" from the kids on the roadside, and the fellas on bikes going through town for the Rolling...

What Not To Do With Your Field Kitchen

You can always count on wifey to have a camera handy when you screw up. Remember that in the future. Glad noone got hurt, but you earned this:

    My anniversary present

Your wife gave you a truck for your anniversary? Man, where are these women at that like green iron? Are they only in NC?

    Horn problems

Had one of the deuces with horn problems, wouldn't "blow" very loud and only with one tone. Thought it was a bad solenoid, swapped it out, and still does the same thing. Plenty of air getting to the horn, so the air supply isn't the problem. Nothing obvious stuck in the bells of the horn, ...

    How many dueces

And that isn't the last M123A1C, there is one at Ft. Campbell that is in the yard, the engine is removed and sitting next to it, from what another Steel Soldier told me. Surely not as nice as the M123 that closed yesterday, but like I said, there always is one more waiting to come out.

    How many dueces

True, Bruce. But I already have my keeper! :) Don't plan on overbidding either, if the bidding start climbing, I'll buy cheaper things. Only things that are newer that I foresee I'd want to buy possibly in the future are a 900-series cargo, a wrecker (any type), and maybe a HEMTT, but I'll...

    How many dueces

Don't think so - they will still keep the M35A3. Also, you know as well as anyone that these things will be dribbling out for years. Heck, they just auctioned off in the past couple years two M211 type trucks, several M55 series 5-tons, a couple M543s, and 1 M37. When were they retired...

    New M818 in yard.

8000 miles may just be on the engine, I'm sure the truck has many more miles on the frame/body than that. As vehicles get older, more time is spent on PM on the newer, more expensive trucks, than the older line vehicles. Plus, we all know how rugged the older M35, M809, M55, etc. series...

    How many dueces

I saw a figure, if you include the early gassers up through and including the M35A3s, about 120,000 trucks. More if you include foreign-made-under-contract units.

    Another M75 for sale

Man, these M75s are literally coming out of the weeds! Someone get it and restore her!

    Haspin 08, June 19-22

Is there someone nearby that might be able to scout out a nice location beforehand, someplace inside the fence, but underneath some trees for shade, yet big enough for us to park a bunch of our MVs ready for use? I recall some nice areas that had campers on the east side of the property, under...

    Rockwell 2.5T Front Axles...

Check out the scrapyard threads on this board. There's a couple yards in So.Cal that has 2.5 ton axles, without cutting up good trucks for them.

    I got one!

Colemans Surplus has the correct snatch block for the deuce for $35. Congrats on the new deuce!
