No offense, Tom, but eBay sometimes is not a good place to sell heavy items that require shipment via freight. eBay is best for small items that are hard to find, large items that require expensive freight or pickup by the bidder go for a much lower percentage. My two cents, based on...
Are these Canadian-built trailers, or American surplus that the Canadians renamed? The M104 is a hard-to-find bird in this country, glad to see you found a couple!
RE: Robyn
Robyn, was a pleasure meeting you, and I thank you again for being on Steel Soldiers. Sometimes SS is a lion's den, and it says a lot about your professionalism and your determination to be here helping us out with our GL issues and our purchases. It takes a lot of guts to step into...
I have:
complete M105 trailer axle, Rockwell made
nice rim and lock ring for M715 series
two M332 trailers that I would be willing to tow out there, good shape
wooden crutches for use in M43 or M725 ambulance
jeep rims, 15 inch, fair shape
corner bow brackets for deuce, fair to good shape, no...
I just looked at the calendar and I can't believe it's only 4 weeks away now. It's sneaking up on us real fast.
Dennis, why do we need to set up inside the perimeter? I didn't see a huge gate between where we were last year and the woods - Gilbert was taking his truck out middle of the night...
RE: motor pool
480,000 documented miles on that CUCV??!? That's a record if I ever heard of one. Write GM a thank you note with it's story, and I'm sure if you turn over 500K they might buy it back off you and/or give you a new Blazer! :) Hey, it's happened before...
Has anyone done some research on this topic? Here's one of the many websites out there who sell the gear for the PICC conversion, just wondering if it's real or a lot of BS.

What's the plan for everyone coming to the rally, as far as when they are getting there? I'm not certain, but I am tempted to leave early Wednesday a.m. and trek through the day, getting there in the late evening. It's 530 miles one way for me, and with the deuce and a jeep/camping gear in the...
In a word, yes. However, there are good welders out there that can make them just as tough as before, that's one of the reasons why the demil procedure nowadays is to cut into little tiny pieces, so you can't reassemble it.
Just remember, fiberglass, Bondo, and spray paint can hide a lot of sins, both on your RR and the mule. Can't wait to see it done! Are you planning on having it done for Gilbert 2008?
Someone told me that the fuze box on the M332 ammo trailer is identical to the fuze box on the M10 ammo trailer of WWII. This was relayed to me at Aberdeen by a gent who pointed out that the guys restoring WWII M10 trailers were having a hard time finding originals, and the M332 is worth it's...
Saw this listing on CraigsList. Looks like a few Dodge M880s are being parted out. Contact number for the seller is in the listing.

I am currently using my keeper deuce (1970 K-J) to hold down the gravel portion of the driveway it sits on. I don't plan on using it too much, I have little property to use for landscaping, yardwork, etc. However, I plan on bringing it to shows and offroad events in the future.
