I've got TN FArm Bureau Insurance on my M35A2C and M715. No problem. It just has to be on a comercial policy but don't let that scare you. It's no more exspensive it's just a different way they write the policy. Shoot me a PM if you want more details .
I Detroit doesn't use oil when new. It's because of the design that they will use/leak quite a bit of oil when they get some wear on them. They are a two stroke (and I know Wrecker compaired them to a chainsaw ) but there is hardly any design similarities in it and a two stroke dirt bike...
If I was running 1/2" from the tank I'd run 1/2" to the tank also. I didn't see the video (I've got dail up and it just takes too long :-() but all you need is the glad hand coupled with the glad hand on the truck, hose going from glad hand to tank, and a hose comming out of tank to whatever...
I thought I wanted some LED lights for my M105 untill I priced them. I pull it with my 2500 Dodge and my deuce and wanted to run both voltages. I did find out that the standard 24V lights will work on 12V, it's just not as bright. I think it's bright enough though.
I've thrown away atleast a pickup truck load of them it the past. Whenever you buy a liner the piston comes with it so I never kept them. I may still have one or two laying around. I'll look.
Will, Do you know if pistons from say a NTC400 would work? I'm almost sure I have one of them.
Don't know about the price for parts other than a few years ago I bought a complete rebuilt kit for $900. I'm sure they have went up some since then.
I've got a sleeve puller that you can borrow if you like. A sleeve puller, a big torque wrench, and an inch pound torque wrench (to set the...
Your CTIS isn't still hooked up is it?
Wonder if you could add silicone to the sealing area to stop the leak? I'm just down the road from you and would be glad to look at the tire/wheel as I have the tools to mount/dismount it.
Well it sounds like he's getting a trans with the engine (maybe a 13 speed or something). That would help.
I kind of have a love/hate relationship with Detroits. I've ran some that had plenty of power if you kept it reved up and didn't leak too much oil. Then I've ran others that had no power...
While they are not sold on GL there were a few that slipped out a few years back. That's one reason they are so expensive (supply and demand).
Don't know the legalities of it but you do see HMMWVs in private hands with tags on them and driving down the road.
Wow. Looks like you really upgraded from what you had. Business must be good :-D.
Eric hasn't hauled anything for me but I did meet him when he picked up Monkeyboyarmy's M35A3 from my place. He's a good guy. His trailer is really nice the way it's set up to haul different things also. He also...
The only advantage I see is they fit the battery holder and the box and if you are concerned about keeping the truck original. Whether or not it's worth the price is up to you. As you can see I posted I priced them but didn't buy any . My batteries are still starting the truck but are...
They can check anytime they want. I've seen roadblocks (the roadblock was setup to look for no DL or DUI but they were also pulling diesels to the side and sticking the tank), I was at a constuction site and they stopped and checked all the trucks there, and they also stopped at my place of...
Chris, I'm not trying to start anything but I would like some clarification on this statement. There is another site where FT frequents and so do other members from here. Are you saying that if something is posted there that happened on SS it could result in banning? I just want to know what the...
The fuel tax has nothing to do with the DOT it's the Dept. of Revenue. It doesn't matter if you're in a Mack truck or a diesel VW Rabbit. Everybody has to pay road taxes just like everybody pays income taxes.
Westex, The reason they go to such lengths in their investigation is because of...
I have to disagree with this. You can either bump it one bid at a time (which sometimes leads to bidding wars) or you can just bid your max and walk away. If you have your max in your head before you bid it makes no difference if you do it a little at a time or all at once. The only reason a...
