All this talk about inlet temps. I run mine after the turbo half way in the little elbow pipe, and I run mine up to 1000* and will run it constant at 900* with out any problems in the past 3 years now. I have no idea how hot it is going in to the turbo but would not think I'm dropping too much...

maybe a broken spring. the lifters are solid so it may also be out of adjustment. pop the valve covers off and check her out.

all I had to do was cut the boots in half to give it a bit more travel other then that its bolt her up

Super! I was about to say.... I like to use the "pipe dope" in a can. it really coats the nipple well (take it ez guys) and does not "oversize" the nipple. I have seen people use too much tape and really mess things up. With the "dope in a can" it just seals what it has to.

If that is a flare fitting please don't add sealing tape. The threads is not what seals the line, its the flare. Doing that is just a bandage and it will leak someday. I see that done all the time at my shop by customers. Do it right now or do it twice later, that's what I say

Well I have a 700r4 that I want to put in my 08.. see the over drive trans have lower first gears then the th400 and a overdrive to boot. like .71 ish to one. A extra gear would really help and the lower first would be nice when towing of loaded. I would go with a good rebuilt 700r4 (non...

15 to 20 in a 09? Boy mine got almost 30 mpg. I think a well tuned 6.2 should do atleat 20 anyday of the week. I have a 08 now and even with the injection pump going to heck I was in the 15 mpg mark. With the new pump and injectors I would hope to be in the 20 range again. The fuel line size on...
