No, 2 or 3 different stories here.
The first two sets of photos are Soviet and were not originally part of the story.
kcimb posted a set later that showed only the roof plate and road wheel of a Tiger.
Pictures of the whole tanks are T34's.
yes VIN=Serial Number
registration number does not=serial number
serial number + registration number does not =vin either
Serial number is also stamped on the frame on the front d/s wheel well of the A2. On the p/s wheel well of the A1 or A1 remanufactured as an A2.
Not sure where some of your serial number stuff came from or the registration number. Check the frame and make sure the info on the serial number matches. If it does, this is your truck info.

Yep pretty obvious where it came from but they also failed to do the proper paperwork when they received it. The last info on it was when it went to rebuild at Tooele Army Depot in 1992.

Not this story again. It isn't a Tiger, it's a T34. It was used by the Germans and based on the coupla was overhauled by the Germans. A unit was never mentioned but I suspect it was one of 60 T34's used by the 2nd SS Panzer Division.
I only ever saw one in active service that was camo. Don't have a photo but it was during desert storm and the driver did sand and brown camo mix. I think he just taped over the brown on the 3 color pattern then blasted it with sand then took the tape/paper off when it was dry. Looked neet...
Looks like I will be coming north in September to the Gilbert show. If someone can do a battle handoff to me in the Atlanta area, I could get up to there and potentially scooter or someone from up that way can bring it on in for you.
I had to come south, job and the fact great grand daddy was in the 14th NC. Hey, at least I'm coming back for Gilbert. Probably be there for Aberdeen and maybe even the NJ Show.
