    Looking at a M46

Is the M46 shop truck based on the deuce or the 5-ton?

    Tool trailer

Okay, this is a dumb question, but: When did the military start putting paintball ranges on the bases? And what type of vehicles at your base are used there? I guess paintball is replacing the real rifle ranges....

Michigan auction with some military vehicles

Wow, that wrecker buyer got a steal of a deal on that one. Under $10K for a wrecker just outta rebuild and looking that good?

    anybody reconize this??

Not a M172 series, the gooseneck portion of the trailer is much too high to be the M172 or M172A1. I looked in David Doyle's book and I didn't see anything resembling the above....

*PIC Update* Wish us luck, going to KY to drive m54 to MA

Radcliff is also the home of U.S. Cavalry, a fine but expensive source for military spec equipment and uniforms. Come to think of it, if I remember back from my days that haunted the area, there are a lot of surplus stores, gun shops, pawn shops with surplus gear, thrift stores, etc. around...

Oh, PLEASEcut off that sick looking gun turret and get an M66 ring mount! It would be a great looking truck without that monstrosity!

    Pictures from VietNam, 1968.

RE: More pictures. 1968 Good pics, reminds me of slide show nite last time my dad dragged out the Kodak slide projector to show off his Vietnam and Thailand pics from 1963-1967. He was 12 Bravo in SE Asia for those years, helped build a lot of the roads that were used throughout the war. I...

*PIC Update* Wish us luck, going to KY to drive m54 to MA

That a nice truck, and BIG! The M54s always looked good to me, too bad they burn fuel like its going out of style, too rich for my wallet.

    International MRAP

RE: Re: RE: International MRAP Yup - sorry folks. Under the current regs, if they get surplused, any armor is to be cut up for scrap. It is a cool truck though. Hopefully it will keep some of our sons and daughter safe in the sandbox.

    Look what followed ME home.

RE: wow I thought the Chieftains were well liked? They served for quite some time in the Brit Army. It's not that I don't trust your judgement, tankie88, it's just that your that first person/source I have heard speak ill of the tank. The replacement, the Challenger 1, was a failure, I know...

    M35 terminology

Okay, since I am about to join the ranks of deuce owners, there is some terminology that I have yet to understand. Please define the following for me since I am new to big trucks and am learning. Thanks, Top Loader Sprag Torque Rod

    Look what followed ME home.

Chieftain right? Those are great tanks for the money - place in Texas is selling 3 of them for $45,000 apiece in running condition restored. If I win the lottery, you know what I'll be getting! That's right - ALL THREE.

    combo 10 ton/ m62

If indeed it was a M125, that would be a shame. Not too many of those beasts around....
  18. maddawg308

How much did they cost new?

I think David Doyle could help out here.....
