RE: Re: RE: Selling my arctic M1009
That's a neat project you have there. Not many good WWII fire trucks left in good shape. Good us updated with pics!
That's a new one.
HOWEVER it gives me an idea.
I think if you work together with Steel Soldiers from around your area, you might have a convoy at the wedding! Think about it, a deuce can tow a bunch of empty hydraulic fluid cans behind it, even!
RE: M1489
You might have to fabricate the whole deal yourself. A lot of the water buffalos have these parts removed or damaged beyond repair when they are surplused out, not sure why. And I have yet to see an auction of those parts come out of GL, ever. Get a metal project box or an ammo...
Re: RE: My update on Gumby project
The exhaust are M-715 series pipes, but repro. All the major supply houses are repro-ing the exhaust parts as the NOS ones are long gone. Only part that is not being repro-ed is the exhaust manifold, which is known to crack often. Good thing my manifold...

Okay, got a lot of little projects donw on the M725 in the past week. Routing vent lines, installing most of the exhaust components, rebuilding the inside of the doors so that the windows rolled up and down, etc. For those who want an exercise in futility, try tearing apart a M35/M37/M725...
Yeah, Dave, that looks like the first one in the set of pics above, just repainted. I'm seriously considering building one of these when Gumby is done.
RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: Found boarding ladders for $
Okay, guess I shouldn't pick up the boarding ladders from this dealer near me. Seems Jeff has hijacked the thread and is pushing his parts, which is fine, he's got a business to run. But I don't wanna pick up the five boarding...
if that was in the fuel filter, you better take a good look inside that fuel tank and make sure there's no gunk in the bottom. That looks like fuel tank liner that is feeling away.
