    Is this rack for radios?

Re: RE: Is this rack for radios? Yes! Thats a GRC-206 multi-band radio setup there that you linked to. I have about half the components for that set, including the RT-524, both control boxes (including the remote control box), the switchboard, the antenna and the rack. The hard part will be...

    Is this rack for radios?

With all the radio cables hanging all over the place, its a dead giveaway. Not sure what radio set was in there, but it was a larger set. I'd reckon the VRC-12 series of radios was in that mess, though, I can see the MX-7777 surge supressor to the left of the rack on the deck. Don't toss it...

Hooking a 24v military horn up - what connects where?

Am about to install a military 24v horn on my truck, the two lines in are stamped with ID for the wiring harness, but the horn has no markings showing positive or negative, A or B, nothing. Is there a difference which wire I plug in where on these horns?

    Bradley Drifting

For the non-hip crowd out there who needs a translation: "drifting" is the new, hip word for: skidding to an uncontrolled stop in order to look cool. Almost always ends up in an accident in the process. If I were that soldier's commanding officer, I would have him PERSONALLY change the rubber...

Ace of Spades 5 ton gun truck

What is the purpose of that weird notch on the lower left side of the armored gun shield? I recently owned a couple Vietnam-era gun shields from M113 ACAVs, and they were complete, without that weird notch...

Going to Coleman's next week. Need anything?

RE: Going to Coleman Anyone? Got a PM from nickd saying he'd like to meet me up there. Seems every time I post pics from Colemans I get a bunch of guys drooling over the hardware laying around the yard, thought there'd be interested in me salvaging some parts....

    Subdued color question

I think white on 24087 looks better than black on 24087, but that's just my two cents. It's your truck, paint it however you like!

Current Rate on Ferrets? Post up

Hey Jeff, how much can you get FV432s for from Britain? Not asking what they run retail over here, just what you can get them over here for, including your cost plus shipping.

How much should I ask for My M715 I want to sell!

I'd say if you were around $3K to $3500 that would be a fair price for a relatively complete, but not OD green M715.

Going to Coleman's next week. Need anything?

I will be taking a trip up to Coleman's Surplus in central PA next Friday. Saturn Surplus is nearby. Does anyone need anything up that way while I am up there? I don't have a lot of cash to play with, but I can pick up smaller items and hold them for a spell...

    Payload

You'll find that military rigs can easily take being overloaded. Their components are built a lot heavier than civilian rigs. This doesn't mean that you can overload, than race down the road and do the slalom on a wet road, you need to be careful to avoid losing control. But your suspension...

    Some Gun Truck Pics

Great looking light armor. The problem, though, is that if you create a better mousetrap, someone will build a bigger mouse. In Bosnia, when peacekeepers (actually, just armed personnel for our team) starting rolling around in better armor, that could survive road mine blasts, the thugs over...
