    Some Pics from Iraq

That's a shame about the older trucks in Iraq - most are being given away to the new Iraqi Army and wont be coming home. Guarantee they will never be allowed to be imported from said country either. Damn socialists in Washington....

    GUMBY LIVES!

Actually, it was just the coil. I tried leaving the old condenser in there and it worked fine, but I have two spare condensers in case the original goes south....

Pics of Trip to Jack's Gov Surplus

I'd guess $20K or so. Helicopters in any state of completion are worth their weight in gold. Even if they don't run. Remember though, the Choctaws were piston driven, not turbine. Not that much lift.

M66 ring mount installation pics. Warning. A lot of pics.

Kickin butt! You guys should write a Lego manual the way you show each individual step in the installation process. Thanks for the pics!

    GUMBY LIVES!

Okay - here's the video! Sounds a bit tinny, like it's off timing or firing on a wrong cylinder, but it's just the poor quality of my video - filmed using my dinky digital camera. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lezuYtOO-9o

    Wreckerman got one!!!!!

I was surprised by this auction - lots of good trucks went for very fair prices, all across the nation. For under $2K, almost anyone here could've gotten a running, near complete deuce. Makes me wish I could afford a plunge into BIG MV ownership!

Needed: original or close-fitting fan shroud for M715 series

Good lord, I would've never thought it would be this hard to find a fan shroud. No repro stuff, noone with used ones in good shape, wow. Looking for a source of a good used M715 or Jeep Gladiator fan shroud, or something close fitting that I can mod to fit well. ANY help at all is...

Convoy to Haspin, VA to IN

There was some interest in a convoy forming for Haspin, IN, weekend of June 8-10. There were a couple VA guys interested in forming up, and hooking up with interested MV drivers in PA and OH on the way. I know FerroEquinologist and gilbert2-1/2ton expressed interest. Anyone else wanna hook up...

    GUMBY LIVES!

Hard to post a pic of a running engine to show that it is, indeed, running. The vehicle is still immobile, I haven't done the brakes yet, so even if I can "move" I still can't "stop". However, I will try and post a video of the running engine this evening. The water pump is leaking profusely...

Idea for SS: Before and After separate picture section

I saw a similar idea on www.cckw.org, a section devoted to posting before and after pics of restos that the users had done to their military trucks. Think it may be a good idea here. What do you think?

What to do with an extra tank engine?

Leave it to Jay Leno - he's got a hundred unique cars, all of them really rare jobbies, and this is probably the most interesting one I've seen yet.

Pics of Trip to Jack's Gov Surplus

WOW! That's all I can really say about his collection! If I had the money, and I don't, I'd be collecting all the old green iron I could get my hands on like he has. Look at all those meat wagons in that mess! Lots of Choctaws, I'm sure a warbird fanatic would love to buy a few of those...

    GUMBY LIVES!

Got a minute today to work on Gumby (weekend with my daughter, no serious time to wrench).
