RE: Couldn
That last car looks like it sports the rare "whale camo" paint scheme. If you're hiding out in a pod of humpbacks, that's the camo job for you.
It's important to remember that, though a manual costs a lot when its reproduced, trust me, a $60 manual for a $10,000 piece of equipment is a small price to pay for the RIGHT info to maintain and operate your rig the official way. Portrayal isn't cheap, but they are sometimes the only source...
Wow! Some of those are real treasures, hard to find in any condition. That Atomic Annie tractor would be great if you had both front and back tractors. I think the cannons themselves are a little harder to find. :)
I don't understand width limits and the DOT. It's a truck isn't it ? It's got road tires and wheels on it, meant for road use. It should be legal to drive on the road, right?
Lookin good so far!
I noticed the previous intake snorkel - the previous owner had an idea, but it was executed poorly. Plan to put the snokel back on for deep fording again?
That's a pretty darn good deal. Both seem to be restorable as is. I've seen single M37s with swiss cheese bodies sell for $2500, so $1600 for a M37 and an M43 is a steal!
I remember Uncle Ted's zebra-stripe Bronco! That was Dec 1990 Four Wheeler magazine cover truck, I believe, I have the issue in storage. Zebra interior as well, with a gun and bow rack, too. Very Ted!
I'll be there, I gotta pick up some odds and ends, especially 24087 paint for my truck. Hope to see more Steel Soldiers there!
As a side note, I grew up in Sussex County, NJ, in the 80s and early 90s. I still have family there, so I can stop in for a visit while I'm in the area. 5 hour trip...
I like it! There's a restored M-677 Jeep Forward Control on the site, perfectly restored. Dare to be different!
Also there's an M60A2 from a museum, nicely done.
