Well I think the M422 mighty might should be within the capacity of your rig but the XM-174 grenade launcher might be pushing the limits of what you can savely haul on your trailer......Lol
What an AWESOME truck and trailer.....the truck makes the 14.00 R 24 tires look like 11.00 R 20s...
Ok....I really had good luck with the Equal powder / beads. I run it in everything of mine and it performs awesome. I had tried dynamic spin-balancing on the machine and the system that does it right on the truck and it always still had sume vibration left....( mostly between 96 and 103...
Yeah....we certainly can't trust their discription. There is really no way though to see from the pics if the Allison tranny is still in the truck. You can see the cab ride air bag and related bracket in one of the pics and I noticed that the trottle position sensor is missing of the engine. all...
Actually.....This truck IS one of the "push button" Allison transmission and air ride cab M916s....It is cannibalized though so I don't know if the tranny is still in the truck.....

Well....I have not really checked it accurately but I would guess its around 5.5 - 6 MPGs.
The winning bid on GL was in the early six's, but with the buyers fee and FET and whatever else they rape you for.... it ended up beeing a little more..... :)
She came from the USMC Logistic Base in Barstow CA.
I'm going to put a 2" kingpin top plate from Holland on the oscillating 5th wheel carrier, take out the 5th wheel spacer and modify the ramps to fit.....that should alow me to be able to pull all my trailers. Mostly the M1098 5000 gallon...
Thats the way mine are, they just reach the top of the nut....barely....maybe they are ok.
Oh and this truck certainly has the Detroit Lockers in the front and rear of the tandems....maybe a USMC option?

Jeff,
In the Allison HD4070 that I have in this M916, both the 6th and 7th gear are overdrive. Thats why this truck will run such low RPM at 65 MPH.
Other "sweet" features of this electronic transmission are:
-Checking the tranny fluid level from the cab (on the touch button pad display)...
Well, I had to grind a bevel around the whole outer edge of the inner lip on the front brake drums and grind a small flat as a relieve for the valve stem to make the HEMMT wheels fit. They installed without modifications on the rears but the studs are not quite long enough to stick all the way...
Yes you are correct about the speed rating. The 55 MPH rating is at the maximum load capacity though.....I'm not even close to half that weight and we are obviously not talking sustained speed.
The 5th wheel plate is now at 66" from the ground... I just might have to take the "spacer" out...
Thanks Guys....So I did find some problems though that really starteled me, when i first got the truck home. The air lines under the dash had all been switched around, so nothing worked right and the brakes where "caged" when i picked it up. The left rear brake had new shoes (looked like it had...
I am totally in love with my new M916! With the Cummins Big Cam 3 now turned up to 475 HP, the sweet 7 speed Allison transmission, the Air Ride Cab, the factory rear diff lockers and the 16.00 R 20 Michelin's (balanced with Equal of course) on HEMMT wheels, this truck will run over
80 MPH...
Justin,
ok...first of all, after driving the it, the truck seems geared much higher than the stock 6.17 to 1 axle ratio! It was doing 55 MPH at 1300 rpm So I'm gona jack it up and check the axle ratio today.
It does use the original T-case which is a 1:1 ratio. The Allison behind a...
Thats awesome! I need to talk my Sheriff's Department in to getting an M113! Maybe they will let me work on it if I'm being a "good boy"......lol
What kind of tracks is it running....are they "all Rubber"? I have never seen any like that..... If they are all rubber.....I certainly need a set...
