Re: the hazards of CARC paint, I also heard a story from someone who worked at BMY in the early '90s building M939A2s: Apparently, another byproduct of CARC fumes is cyanide... Nasty stuff...Makes lead-based paint look tame or so I'm told.

Thinking of cutting up an M939 for the axles? Most people would hate me, but I've considered the same for a particular project I have in mind.

While not to tell you what to do with your truck, the 927's are kinda rare as it is. I myself am considering getting a 927/8 and building something living situation wise on the stock bed...inside the existing bed dropsides. Shoot me a PM if you like and I'd be happy to pass along my ideas...
