One of the things which has kept me in this hobby this long has undoubtedly been the camraderie! I've had people check in on me, even through here, many times and have done/wondered the same...people suddenly disappear and we start to worry!

Fascinating thread! I myself am one day going to have to buy myself an M1070, and threads like this are invaluable to me. Threads like this on the Deuce and a Half and M939 Series 5 tons eventually turned me into what other people call a wealth of knowledge.

I've always wanted to race an M939 series truck on a drag strip. Now I have more impetus to do so once I acquire one.

I've bid on numerous XLWB models, back when I actually had money to blow, alas never won. Ask 98G, he could tell you some stories about schooling me on bidding on M939s at auction. I learned five tons of info on what to look for from him.
