    Gear oil from the differential also lubricates the wheel bearings. The hubs have seals to keep the oil in them. When the seals leak, the brake shoes get oil on them. This will cause the grabbing brakes you described. A look at the -20 parts TM should help you understand/see the way this is...

    Start with disassembling them and inspecting them. Locking up is one of the signs of oil contamination from bad seals. A simple look(no disassembly needed) at the backing plates may tell you something, are they wet or dry?
