The larger one is the feed. Sometimes tracing from the tank is tough. Just follow the larger diameter steel line that comes up the passenger side framerail near the shock and brake line.
I can't speak on the Cuck Vee's behalf but all mechanically driven New Process cases will have a color coded gear. You can also count the teeth if the gear has any left. Pull the drive mechanism out and check the color. Any 4wd shop should be able to source one for you.
Auto parts store + 24v starter = boom
Probably better off with a shop or atleast find a store with someone that has a pulse. A simple VAT40 would do the trick and most shops have one of those antiques (which still work great) to give you amperage figures. Plus it is real world in the truck data.
My personal opinion after many years of wheeling, with a general purpose rig I would not chase tire size. If you need extra traction, a set of chains works best for the rare time you need it. The smaller tire works best for economy, mileage, and wear/tear on driveline. Since you are on an M1009...
Nonsense! You can tune a piano but you can't tune a fish...
Unless you installed two faulty starters I would do some serious voltage drop tests to see if a supply or ground cable is at fault. Anything over .1, maybe .2 volts max is suspect.
I would be pressure testing the cooling system (and reading the gauge while it's running) to verify HG integrity along with putting a bore scope down the bad cylinder. I would assume you would see something abnormal in the cylinder wall or piston top compared to the rest of the cylinders. Either...
Cool pic...I hope it did it's job and got someone home safe!
Probably a waste of time if you are not in combat. Beadlock rims are hard enough to deal with, don't give yourself another reason to fight a tire change ;)
In my opinion, the stickies need to be grouped into a single sticky link at the top of the page. My browser is almost all stickies on the first page of the ol' Cuck Vee forum.
This is catering to the stupids who can't read good and other stuff. Reminds me of a modern riding lawn mower which...
I've had my Cuck for three years and have never been pulled over. Unless I was seen filling up at an off-road pump, I highly doubt a LEO would dip my tank.
So if you were running on road fuel with a red additive you should respectfully show your receipts for fuel and tell him about the...
The difference is stall speed which has to do with the pitch on the turbine and impeller fins inside. It also depends on the engine size/power as the same converter will stall at a higher speed from a small block to big block V8. The gas version is typically a tick higher in stall speed. It will...
I use DieselKleen primarily for IP lubricity and that my truck sits extended period of time so I want corrosion and fungus prevention.
I would be interested in two stroke oil for those long hauls where I burn a few tanks one after another, anyone using it?
I noticed on mine that I had some adjusting to do with the idle as my GEN lights would not go out at initial start and flickered at idle. This and the steering was very difficult when at a stop with my foot on the brake. I agree, a small bump in the idle speed helps everything.
When I registered due to age, I did not need a title. Most states will not with the age, only a bill of sale. I actually (best policy in most situations) kept my mouth shut when first registering and played stupid...which is not difficult. I had an SR97 doc from the US Gov't that is required for...
Perfect time to learn how to rebuild an alternator ;)
Don't be afraid, they are very simple inside. Follow the TM's and take a few pictures during disassembly, you'll be golden! Not to mention piece of mind knowing your GENs are new again. Also be sure to replace the GEN dash bulbs, clean the...
