Interesting to know. I'm probably moving in August. Looking at a place in Delta Junction...at 6 acres plenty of room for Deuces and 5-tons!

Yeah, I've literally considered a M923, 925, etc. as a daily driver. Preferably the A2 variant, for somewhat better fuel mileage LOL. Yeah, a nice, clean, restored one is a roads-only truck IMO; a rustier one belongs in the trees and mud LOL.

When are you heading back? Heading back to the Fairbanks area? If so would be you be interested in potentially trying to meet up? Would love to meet some other Alaskan Deuceophiles. Yeah, that's just the courteous thing to do, anyway. But yeah, I'm sure a lot of thumbs-up and waves are...

Yeah, with the CTIS I imagine it would be great offroad! I'd eventually like to find a couple myself, one for wheeling and one as a daily driver. Seriously! Just beware once you get the 5 ton stuck, it's STUCK! LOL

Sounds like fun, wheeling off road in a M923! It's been done before of course but I'd like to do the same someday...

I have ridden in a Deuce once, but it was about three and a half years, ago, long before I got "hooked". (No, that ride didn't "hook" me; it happened way later). But yes, they are rough-riding and loud! Funny thing was, until then I didn't know WHY there was that high-pitched whistling sound...

Especially since I'd likely be living on a dirt road that doesn't get plowed unless one of the homeowners takes the initiative, and the firewood chore... Now, how about driving between Alaska and Califronia twice a year in a Deuce, or better yet, a M923?

Travel plans...cross-country road trip in a M923A2? That sounds like a fun adventure in the making! I'd love to do that sometime I've literally considered having the idea of a 923 as a daily driver. Granted, I may end up with a Deuce, as a daily driver, and weekend-ly 100-mile each way road...

Interesting. Is it the tin-roofing-sided structure in one of the pics you posted? It's interesting how different things are in different regions of the state, here in the Southeast park of Alaska it's all wet rot with as much rain as we get! In fact, the house we're looking at in Delta...

Sounds like a fun Deuce road trip! Seeing your location...I might be moving to Delta Junction around August-ish myself, and possibly be a Deuce owner by then. (Found a place there we might buy). Question: do people hate seeing Deuces on the freeways there with the relatively low top speed...

Good news! Still on the proverbial radar as a project. Current owner is in the process of selling their place in Port Townsend, WA, where it currently sits. He has a rent-to-own tenant there apparently in the main house. Since the current owner of the truck is thus moving out he's there...

I am not all that familiar with Paso actually! I had friends who lived waaaaay out Stockdale Road though.
