The radio installation sucks because it looks like someone hacked a rectangle in the dash pad and jammed a junk radio in it. If I am spending that kind of coin, I either want one installed in a nice center console or in the factory location. Maybe in a junk $500 woods truck that would be fine...
Most gear drive tcases I know of use gear lube but the TM specifies Dexron ATF for the NP205. I had to look it up when I drained my case to find red fluid. I honestly think it won't care because it has no synchronizers but be aware that the spec is ATF.
Looks OK but I would probably would not want to spend over $2800. Yes it has a turbo kit, that is really the only thing going for it. Yeah it has leather seats but it looks like the driver side is starting to become unstitched. The radio installation sucks, lots of poor quality interior and...
So maybe the admin's can make a sticky to three crucial items when trying to bleed the fuel system:
1) TM procedures
2) Two batteries in good condition
3) Beer
Glad you got it fixed!
I'm not sure how some people are having such a hard time bleeding the system. I have replaced the filter and IP which air locked the entire system and had no issues bleeding without killing the batteries.
A spin on filter helps because you can fill the filter up unlike a box filter. It took me...
You don't need a special tool, just a deep well socket.
If they do not come out, chances are they are swollen. Pretty good chance too! I had good luck running the engine till it gets very hot then loosen one stuck plug. Spray penetrating oil on it and twist with a vice grip. You may have to...
If you still have the factory retainers that couple two lines together in pairs, pull the IP with the lines still attached. I loosened them off the IP on the bench, then transferred them onto the new IP on the bench. They lined right up because there is no way to put them on wrong with those...
Probably more if you want to do it good and proper. I'm sure it needs a bunch of extra service that could be done while you are digging into the IP replacement. Examples: new fuel hoses, rocker cover gaskets, cleaning up any diesel fuel in the valley, etc.

$500 with a one year warranty. They built it to my specs that I requested. One of the technicians took about 30 minutes on the phone near the end of the day to answer all of my questions (I'm a tech and...
Why not just jumper the GP solenoid to ground which will get them turned on. Then just run around and crank it over. Shouldn't take more than a short piece of wire and a pocket knife. This is totally assuming that the solenoid and power supply works. If that is the case, substitute small piece...
I paid $500 for an off the shelf DB2 pump calibrated for my 6.2 engine. I can't tell you what the pump number is but it was the most up to date pump available. It was more expensive to have my 6.2's pump rebuilt by them than to just have an off the shelf one recal'd to 6.2 specs.
This was at...
If I was you, I would keep it 24v and use a single 24v alternator. Use the transformer to step down to 12v for the cab. I would convert anything that uses high current to a 24v system like the headlamps and glow plugs.
A stock AC setup shouldn't ice the evaporator. I think it has a temp sensor which cycles the compressor off if the evaporator drops below freezing.
Most of the time ice is due to undercharge or indirectly overcharged (not a direct cause but side effect). The other thing could be low airflow...
Or just use process of elimination. If you cannot move forward, you are in neutral. If you cannot go above 40mph, you are in two position. Easy Peasy[thumbzup]
All those micro cars are driven in third world nations that have much worse infrastructure than we do. I'm sure it would last just fine. You may have a problem with the texting teenager about to run you over in a large SUV. Drunk drivers atleast have their eyes on the road...
