    New guy from UPSTATE NY

Just how I think, I guess. I once tried to help a delivery truck that was looking for a "local" address. He left NYC and went to "selkirk state park". Unfortunately he came here to my area(eastern end of Lake Ontario) to a local area called Selkirk. Wow was he upset!

    M35A2 Hydraulic pump

One issue with a PTO driven hydraulic pump is that you will not have live hydraulics which would be much more useful for a plow.

    Where to drain coolant.

Ok, the D/S of the radiator has a petcock(valve). You'll need a large pan and it will be messy. Or, as that first thread showed, there are plugs in the block. I would leave them alone. One other choice is to slip the lower hose off the radiator just a bit and let that drain. I'll look...

www.surpluscenter.comThose prices are low. Last year I replaced a 48" long 1" hose(maybe it was 36" long). I went to JGB(they assemble hoses for government contracts). They offered me their "house brand" of hose(no name brand on the outside) and said it was the same as their...

M246 wrecker tractor hydraulic hose replacement

The Ermeto fittings were/are a "bite" type fitting. Think of a standard compression fitting that uses a ferrule and nut and a seat to seal. They were a method of connection to steel hydraulic lines(like what goes through the gondola).

    fuse block is loose

If your asking because your swapping them, you can switch it over to the other alt and use it if you want to. Both alternators actually have one inside as well. It is a capacitor.

    fuse block is loose

Yes, and you do not need to use it. It helps keep "electrical noise" quiet on radio equipment installed in the truck.

    fuse block is loose

If they are stock alternators, yes. They are the same and can be swapped.
