Have you looked at the page in the -10 TM that explains the headlight switch operation? Park, actually turns the headlights off in service drive. Be sure you read and understand the headlight switch operation clearly.

Shoulda bought one 5 years ago. They are scarce(from surplus) and prices have increased quite a bit. Lots of parts out there, but eveyone knows they are getting scarce too, so prices are up too.

What truck are we talking about?

Unplug the switch plug, and use a piece of wire to "jump" the wires, and look at your brake lights to see if that makes them come on. MAke sure your light switch is on too.

So, does the switch have power to it(with the 3 lever switch in either right side position? You can unplug it and simply "jump" the two plugside wires together and see if they come on.

I'm running 9.00-20s with no clearance issues.

Someone has posted about an outfit in Ohio that did the rebuilds for the military. I would think a local rebuilder would be your best choice. Maybe a JD or other tractor company would have them too.

Try treading water, but pushing down instead of up...

I'd guess you need to swap your original oil filter adapter too. And, install your vacuum pump too. and glow plugs and temp sensors and exhaust manifolds I think the intake manifolds are not identical either?
