5 Ton wheel tire combo to have best scrub radius/track width match with 16.00 tires.

The front wheel is dish out on your pics. That accounts for the extreme offset.

5 Ton wheel tire combo to have best scrub radius/track width match with 16.00 tires.

No rubbing, lock to lock. No hub flip - hub flip is a deuce thing. The front is wider than the rear. Not sure by exactly how much. I won't have an opportunity to measure as I'm in TX and my trucks are not. I'll see if I can find better pics that may show it. Same wheels/tires all the...

5 Ton wheel tire combo to have best scrub radius/track width match with 16.00 tires.

My choice is hemtt rims all the way around, and 16.00 AT3s. The first picture is an M818 with 16.00 AT2s on the earlier hemtt rims. The other pics are my M925, hemtt rims and AT3s

    Replacement Batteries

In FL, any two batteries that'll physically fit in the battery box will be fine. Suggestion- run your Hawkers through one of those pulsing battery repair cycles. You just might resurrect a $500 battery.

How many miles on a multi fuel?

There's documented cases of failures of new trucks that were working as intended hauling cargo in Viet Nam, in ~ 20k miles. (We can all speculate on what kind of aggravating circumstances were involved) My own speculation on multifuel engines in general is that quite a bit was compromised in...

    936A2 Gas Tank Problem

That 'spacer' is the top of the strainer. The threads are all normal right hand thread. A strap wrench or two is the solution. The first time I encountered a stuck one, I was worried the strainer was left hand thread. It isn't. A crowbar and a military issue web belt got it to break loose...

    Installing a PTO Winch on a M35A2

There's no need to swap the tcase. Install is a moderate chore. A much easier install is a 24v warn 18k.

    14.00r20 new tires?

The XLs were known as "maypops" for good reason.

How many miles on a multi fuel?

Varies widely. There's documented instances of failures in 20k. And plenty of examples of high mileage. Personally, if the engine passes my inspection, 34k would not be an issue.

Different Way to Plumb Dual Fuel Tanks

Consider what happens if you park on a side slope. Potentially the fuel from the higher tank drains into the lower tank and it overflows. I'm sure there are ways around it.

CA register a Humvee Street Legal in California

My understanding is CA is a flat "NO!". @Retiredwarhorses may have something to add.

    10 lug wheels

And the short answer is that your wheels are not compatible with M939series or M809series trucks.

They announced that they're taking a shutdown until mid January.

    Worth saving 12 bolt rims?

Someone will want them. If shipping wasn't horrible, that someone would be me.

    Deuce white smoke on startup...

If reckless use of starter fluid is the cause of the problems, then the likely mechanisms are - 1) broken rings 2) damage to the pistons between the ring grooves (lands) 3) stuck rings 4) scored cylinder walls 5) bent pushrods I'm hoping that your problems are unrelated to ether use...

    Deuce white smoke on startup...

'Starting fluid' used regularly, other than through an on board metering device, has a potential to cause exactly the symptoms described.

Two prong NATO military slave plug?

Slave plug on one end. Anderson SB350 connector on the other. Do something like this and swap one end of your 2pin cable to an Anderson connector. Then put the (removed) 2pin on an Anderson connector. Now you have a slave cable that can go from 2pin to 2pin, or 2pin to single pin.
