Is it because it will slip off or what? If it is because of the slight offset you will have the same problem with this box-end welded to the socket extension. Not doubting you, just want to know.

I used the Rapco rattle cans on the front of my truck and it seems to be holding up okay. I didn't really do any proper prep work on it, just shook the cans and started spraying.
I'll do a much better job this year when it gets warmer.

IF you don't want to use the single battey idea what you want is a DC-DC Converter.
Like these:

You do the Math:
To convert Fahrenheit temperatures into Celsius:
Begin by subtracting 32 from the Fahrenheit number.
Divide the answer by 9.
Then multiply that answer by 5.
Here's an example: Change 95 degrees Fahrenheit to Celsius: 95 minus 32 is 63. Then...
I couldn't even find where they even still make the CXT anymore. Although I mentioned it to wife and she found a couple for sale for me. Around $79k but they do look good.
