The answer they gave you is their official answer: they don't want you to go look at it yourself or have a buddy do so. They won't even tell you where it is until you win it.
Unlike GL, GP intends for their online ad to be all the info you get to make bidding decisions.
Thus the premium for...
when the air system fails and the air leaks out and the springbrakes apply, that's the emergency brake. As separate from the park brake and the service circuits.
DMV isn't involved. The restriction is part of the EUC.
I'm sure they get sold to noncitizens on the secondary market all the time, although this is a violation of the EUC. The only time it would come back and bite you is if the truck ended up somewhere it shouldn't be. I speculate that in...
This bears emphasis. There is a lethal amount of energy stored in that spring. It will literally kill you dead if mishandled.
I strongly suggest that the first time you work on them you have someone with you that's done it before.
Pictures 46 48 50 57 65 all look problematic to me.
That truck did not get to its current location under its own power. The torque rods look like they're about to let go. The axles look shifted.
I see no indication that the brakes work or that the truck builds air.
Personally, I would not...
As written, it only applies to MVs designed for off road use. This would make practically everything exempt from it, considering that virtually all wheeled vehicles are designed primarily for on road use.
Looks very restricted. I'm glad I don't live in MI.
Questions-
1) what about all those FMVs newer than 25years old?
2) can an FMV be registered commercial or registered as a daily driver if it meets the criteria?
2a) is an FMVSS sticker part of the criteria?
3) what happens to the...
A couple of random thoughts -
I learned all about the air system a few years ago lying on my back under the truck on the side of I 10 near Texas Canyon, with a tablet in one hand with P2P pulled up.
I want to emphasize that 14.00s are getting scarce and old. This'd be an ideal time to change...
Diamond plate gives more stiffness for less weight. It also provides a nonslip surface.
Lastly, you see it used on stock MV's, so it will go with the OE design.
You emphasized that you want it "right", twice. CARC is the answer. There's several versions of CARC.
4 gallons was enough to do this truck. Zinc primer.
NDT, do you hear an echo? :)
My girlfriends daily driver is a 2016 fourdoor wrangler, lifted on 35's. I'm actually surprised at how close the hmmwv feels to the jeep, driving down the road at 55mph.
Given, the jeep has twice the hp, and a much higher top speed. But at 50-55 they don't feel *that* different.
I'm reasonably close you, about 45 minutes from Beatrice NE.
I have a good M998 with an on road title and current plates. Everything works like it should. You're welcome to come over middle of next week or possibly the weekend and drive it. This'll give you a basis for comparison for future...
This is directly contradicted by the statements made by the OMV employee.
I have no firsthand knowledge of what happened. I merely watch with interest to see how it turns out. Precedent and all...
If I were going to tow the M129A4 semitrailer regularly, I'd want to put 395's on the truck and trailer both, in order to share a spare and in order to tow the trailer level.
But the 16's really appeal to me cosmetically, and also I acquired another XM818 on 11.00''s to tow the semitrailer...
