You want a replacement that has a water drain(built into the filter can). The heater element is an accessory that you can live without.
Walmart has a housing and filter in the boat supply section, that will work.
So, do you need help using this website, to fix your truck? (perhaps you need help using the Search Function?) Or, do you need help finding the Technical Manuals?
Please post in the appropriate forums. (Website Help Forum, IE, how to use the website)
You cannot check your grounds visually. You must use an ohm meter or test light.
I always put one meter lead on the actual bulb base(installed in it's socket), and touch the other lead to the battery negative terminal.
Do this on both of the top bulbs (tail and brake/blinker)
To test the lights without the flasher, you can unplug the flasher unit and simply jump pin hole A(wire#19A) to pin hole B(wire#167).
If your lights work properly(but no blink) that will prove your flasher is bad(or has a bad ground).
fwiw, I've blown a brand new flasher unit just by turning on my signal light(instantly). My truck had a dead short in the light wiring and there is no protection built into the flasher units.
You can pay in cash, or you can pay in time(reading).
If you had looked at the tech manuals you could have seen an exploded view(in the -34P) or just read the instructions on how to remove and reinstall it.
