PEX is not designed for the temperatures under the hood, the vibrations, the abraisions,the ozone, the UV rays, bla bla bla. Pex is just not the correct stuff to use. The clear crap the military used is about 45 years old. How long do you expect it to last? btw, show me a link to your 1/4 pex.
