PM me direct for serious inquiries. Exchange of phone numbers to build rapport and support this build. Simple DIY skills are required to assemble. It is...
The mechanical threads of the flare type coupling will not benefit from the use of tapes or sealants. The compression of the mating surfaces is the seal. Like I said ... Jacked up, dinged, busted, scratched flares under pressure can leak with the most minuet microscopic flaw. A proper...
Worry Wart here... I am a little concerned about the use of this "Tephion" or is it Teflon as it is not recommended on flare fittings. While one might think 'hell, can't be that thick" the seal is made at the flare and is a dry, clean, no nicks, burrs, or buggers and flare to flare square fit...
Probably shouldn't have mess with it till one know what you got. It's not that hard to adjust in truck. What engine / set-up do you have. (note 5149 is 6.5 NA) Wonder if it was set-up correctly at Melon ?
What is and where did you smear this "tephlon" sealant?
If only a 1/16 turn... I...
Yes, picture would help. If I was to guess, it is a free guess, you have some alloy wheels with deep dish hub thickness?
For me, I would want to see some threads or two or three or four or more.

The design of the HumV 24 Volt system has a "devil in the battery box" The laws of electricity and the spoken word this Sunday from CAMO and witness by RWH. Today"s word is "TAP"

Just saying, CAMO
Look up "CHARGE GUARD" or a " two way radio timed disconnect search". This is what I use to automatically disconnect batteries. Voltage and a timed disconnect features with manual override. Start engine or manual and it comes on line. Leave it on...times out after (you decide) saving your...
YES you ARE CRAZY.... SMART.(y):geek:
Wait a couple of months when old man Winter hits... So will the "Can't start, wait light" questions. That's how I know it's Winter. LOL
Well someone sees the light or at least a glow. Search back thru my posts and learn,
Been there, done that, no more...
NON RUNNER
Good chance parts missing here and there. OR messed up to the point was easier to NR it and move it with the fork lift.
This one is done. As in... Put a fork in it, CAMO
OFF the BENCH, CAMO 🙄
There is not a lot of workable option IMO and the little I understand 🤔 All things being said factory M998, dash wiring is NOT some M1165 special ECV harness.
I think 🤔 the fishing for wire numbers and looking for the letters is throwing a wrench into it. ADD the fact...
You forgot to put the smiley face :) !
Starts out dim lights. I see the speedo in the dash. My mistake assuming the M1165, ECV didn't come with a fast speedo. OP didn't say, I am trying to install a speedo from the get go. It's all good, we all play along 🏈 kicking the ball.
Dim lights...
