    M-151 A2 windshield on a 151a1

Hello Christian. I use two tie down staps on each side of the windshield. I use an "S" hook in the brackets that the top support hooks in. Hook the other end securely to the body or air lift bracket on the rear wheel. Tighten the straps applying EVEN pressure to the windshield. Assuming...

I barley started to turn the pipe wrench and suddenly heard the sound of diesel fuel shooting out the plug holes and hitting the hood. Oops, should have had a rag over the holes! Other than that surprise, the engine rolls over nicely.

After cleaning the jeep out, I pulled the plugs and poured diesel fuel down each cylinder. First plug I touched broke off at the base but this was removed with an easy out. After letting this soak for a bit, I put a pipe wrench on the crank pulley bolt and turned a small amount. Great, it's...

So a little back ground on the Jeep. A guy I work with has had the jeep around 8 years. He acquired the jeep when a family friend passed away. This gentleman was into surplus. When I brought the jeep home, it was loaded with (mostly) M151 take off parts. All of the tops, doors and side...

New to me MB. Frame number puts it at a late '45. Engine number falls within the range of the frame so could be original to jeep. Body is shot. Engine turns over, going to see if it'll run. From the little bit of searching I did, the top appears to be for an M38. This is my first WWII...

    Underbody repair kit question

This is the end cap repair. Note how ours fits the crossmember properly. No excessive gap like the original kit part.

    Underbody repair kit question

We cut a couple of crossmembers today along with the repair kit end caps and associated parts. 9KW Fiber Laser cuts 16ga like butter. Next stop: Press Brake.

    Underbody repair kit question

So I finished the prints and we're going to run some prototypes. Next will be the repair end caps.

At the end of the "jeep" season, I take the top off, put the windshield down and go for a ride. 35 degrees and sunny today! Guy

    Underbody repair kit question

I think the issue is inconsistent dimensions on the repair kits. After a few conversations, people have seen the end caps to tall and sometimes to short. This has motivated me to draw the entire mid crossmember as a direct replacement. I'll also do the repair kit end caps as pictured above...

    Civilian parts crossover

Found this on Rock Auto. I didn't see the Napa part number listed.

    Underbody repair kit question

There is a post on the 503 asking about a gap on the mid crossmember outer end repair part. I have an end piece that I'm reverse engineering in order to reproduce as part of our 151 body panels. I also have a NOS mid crossmember. I did a test fit to the crossmember, my A1 and A2 and they...

We were able to get a ride in yesteday. It was cool and we had a few drops of rain but with the doors on the ride was enjoyable. The second water crossing was deep enough to get some water on the front floors.
