    Our Neighbor Needed a Lift!

He said I can borrow the new trailer anytime! I do quite alot of stuff for/with him. He is also dog sitting for me for the next week. He served in Germany. He likes my MVs, as do most of my neighbors. I never hesitate to assist my neighbors with my MVs.8-)

    Our Neighbor Needed a Lift!

The extra boom length comes in real handy. It afforded me plenty of distance(to park off the road) and swing the trailer away from the M819 while they installed the wheels. fwiw, I use it at least once a week, or more. I have accumulated enough time to have a pretty good feel for what it will...

    Our Neighbor Needed a Lift!

I don't mind criticism. Heck, I might learn something from others, if I keep an open mind!

    Our Neighbor Needed a Lift!

No. No wind. Short swing. It was only about 6' up to start with.

    Our Neighbor Needed a Lift!

I parked at an angle, to the road. The lift was about 10 degrees off to the starboard side. The set was about 15 degrees to the port side. No need for outriggers. The rail was very rounded edged. New, with no sharp spots. All straps were clinched flat.

What info can you get from service tag?

A tag that is in plain sight of the seatbelts, telling you seatbelts have been installed(retrofitted). What a great idea. Does the military also have toilet seat lid lids? (to cover the lid)

Florida road trip to OH, Haspin, IN and back to FL

    I'm assuming it's an NP246(from Mikes info in post # 50) . Does it have the autotrac(pushbutton)?

Florida road trip to OH, Haspin, IN and back to FL

Is there anything special about it? Like input splines or...? That's the same T case as my 2000 silverado. I thought they were not that hard to find or get parts for. Seems like auto recyclers should have them available.

    transfer drain plug leak

A quick look at the -34P tm shows the part number(GM) and that the fill and drain plugs are the same. A quick google search for the part number 14037987 will get a visual on the real part and its seal ring. Gotta love them TMs!:doghead:

Or replace the gasket/seal on the drain plug. And tighten it properly.

    ammeter/ gen light replacement

No, not with the stock wiring. An advanced search in the CUCV forum for 'gauge, idot, ammeter, amp, digital, analog, etc", will pull up a few threads where others have done some custom installs. IMHO, the lights do all you need.
