I would say your correct (NP435)
IDENTIFICATION - NP435 4spd, iron case, aluminum top cover. Top loaded, tower shift "Granny-Low" truck transmission with cast iron case and rectangular aluminum top cover. Main bearings may be either ball or tapered design. It is non-synchronized in 1st gear...
How often do you inspect your brake fluid level?
Have you ever done a complete brake system inspection and overhaul?
How long have you had the truck?
Are you mechanically inclined?

On a vehicle, it is better to disconnect the negative side.
A couple things to consider are, when you add any wiring, it's better to add it on the negative side for less chance of a shorting failure(to chassis).
There is much more "ground" or chassis, than there is positive circuit...
The hose end that fits that and is used with the aux fuel kit is part # MS24587-5.
Take your elbow to a hydraulic hose shop or industrial type supply house. It's an AN fitting(-5). JIC fittings will be compatible. (It should be 1/2"-20 thread and 37 degree)
And that's not the TM you needed...
If you look at the tech manual, you should find the part number. You can them google that and find info(usually).
Without a picture or part number, I am not sure what fitting your referencing.
I would guess it's a standard "AN" fitting.
