You could connect the slave port however you choose(12 or 24V) with a stock truck or you could use it for 12v with a 12v converted truck. Anything other than stock, I would label it very obviously, so someone else did not make a huge expensive or deadly mistake.

Probably could not read the tag on the HH with his phone.

The data tag on your dash, above the map compartment, has the capacity specs and TM numbers for your truck.

Or fix it correctly by diagnosing the issue. It's all listed in the -20 TM. Just need an ohm meter and a few minutes time.

I think you are misreading a fusible link, for a thermo switch? There is no thermal cutout in the starting circuit.

Only 20 of them matter, unless you use the ICE/STE port.

The cable looks like it needs a good rewind anyways. I've pulled the same boneheaded move before. I did what m16ty said. It looks to have sheared the hairpin clip also, and spread the shackle wider. You may need to press it back together to get a new clip in there.
