The whole truck is flawed in hundreds of ways, if you look at it subjectively.

One thing you may be overlooking. These trucks were never made to federal saftey standards for civilian on road use. They are special purpose built military trucks.

How do do know it really has only 5000 miles on it? Suppose that torque rod is original to your 40 year old chassis? Rubber deteriorates. The design is not flawed. You didn't answer my questions posted above. Are you always paranoid?

Unless your parts are new and went bad, how can you call it a flaw? Are you a suspension design engineer as well as a truck driver?

Is your orange voltage sense wire on the GP side of the relay? It needs to be. The relay can and will stay on after the wait light goes out. Have you simply confirmed with a DVM that the relay is saying on(over approx. 15 seconds).

Try using a 12 volt charger and charging each battery separately, for a day(each) then see how it is doing. You may have just killed them cranking. In series, they cannot charge 100% properly.

Sure can. I'd start with new belts. If you have to crank much to get it started, it is common to have a quick squeel, but none is best.

Check your battery voltage before and after running and switch on. You should be getting 28 running. Belts new? You may have a bad battery. Test them recently?

I would never do anything to hamper him(or ApopkaFL) getting the help he needs. I do have a bad sinus headache. I'm sure it has contributed to my "attitude". It's hard to tell, but alot of my comments are not 100% serious. Don't get so worked up. In the end, we're all here to help each other.
