Unlikely. CDR is like EGR and my understanding is that it directs blow by into the air intake for consumption in order to diminish pollution. It does not directly consume oil. -

On my rig, the oil pressure sender hose was the older generation, and it was rotted and rusted. This would be a perfect time to check your oil pressure sender and replace it with the turbo out. Otherwise you will have a frustrating job ahead of you. The newer units are built with either... -

All they (LAU) do is add a second harness to the glow plugs. You will need to reattach your primary glow plug harness. NOT HARD. -

How to replace just heater core?
Sometimes you need to buy a heater core meant for something else and then cut off the intakes and either make or TIG weld or connect with rubber hose to make it fit your function. -
